About Celebrations
"Celebrations" is a jazzy, upbeat overture for symphony
orchestra that employs the use of jazz solos. If your orchestra has
no soloists comfortable with improvisation, a written jazzy duet has been
included in the trumpet and trombone parts.

One of Jim's first works, the title and dedication celebrates the birth of
his first child, David, who is now grown up. The mood of the piece is indeed
joyous and uplifting, a very fun piece to perform.
