Thomas Bandiera and Kent Tucker played "Lament" for two trombones and piano on November 7, 2015 at Mercyhurst University.

The San Antonio Symphony, with Akiko Fujimoto conducting, played "Liberty for All" on November 11, 2015.

The Walnut Creek Concert Band performed "Liberty for All" on November 11.  Harvey Benstein was conducting.

"Freedom's Hope" for brass quintet was performed for the installation of Chancellor Paydar at IUPUI in Indianapolis on November 17, 2015.

Philip Bauman led the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra in a performance of "Liberty for All" on November 21, 2015.

Erik Oberg directed the Rock Valley College Concert Band in a performance of "Concerto for Trombone" on November 19, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Guilford High School Auditorium in Rockford, IL.  Dr. Timothy Pitchford was the soloist.

On November 29, 2015, the Broadmoor United Methodist Church orchestra will play "A Christmas Fanfare" with Adam Philley conducting.

October, 2015

The Starlight Symphony Orchestra, of Wimberley, TX, will perform "Liberty for All" on October 10 and October 11, 2015 with Dr. David Oertel conducting.

The Kansas State Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Frank Tracz, performed "Concerto for Trombone" on October 21, 2015.  Domingo Pagliuca was the soloist.

August, 2015

The US Navy Band, with Andy Skaggs conducting,  performed "Liberty for All" at the Navy Memorial on Pennsylvania Ave on August 25, 2015.

July, 2015

The Dallas Symphony performed "Gardens of Stone" on July 4, 2015 at 2:00 in Vail, Colorado in the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater.  Jeff Tyzik was conducting.

Andres Franco led the Fort Worth Symphony in performances of "Gardens of Stone" on July 2, 3, and 4, 2015 at the Botanic Gardens.

The Aspen Music Festival Wind Ensemble performed "Inaugural Fanfare and March" on July 4, 2015, under the baton of Larry Isaacson.

The Rock River Philharmonic played "Liberty for All" on their concert on July 4, 2015 with Dr. Robert Tomaro conducting.

The Pensacola Symphony played "I Am the American Flag" on their July 4, 2015 Seaside concert.  Peter Rubardt was conducting.

June, 2015

The US Air Force Symphony Orchestra played "Liberty for All" on June 26, 2015 at the Air Force Memorial in Arlington at 8:00 PM and on June 30, 2015 on the Capitol Steps in DC at 8:00 PM.  Col. Larry Lang was conducting.

May, 2015

Dr. Yugo Sava Ikich led the Washington (PA) Symphony in a performance of "Gardens of Stone" on May 2, 2015 at 8:00 PM at Trinity High School.

On May 24, 2015, the USAF Orchestra performed "Liberty for All" at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Col. Larry Lang conducting, as part of a Memorial Day choral festival.

The Kansas City Symphony, Michael Stern conductor, performed "Liberty for All" on their concert at Union Station on May 24, 2015.

The Rappahannock Pops, led by Jim Ford, performed "Liberty for All" on May 25, 2015 at 6:00 PM at the Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA.

The Tulsa Symphony performed "Liberty for All" on May 7, 2015 on their Any Given Child concert.  Ron Spigelman was the conductor.

Dr. Peter Rubardt conducted "Liberty for All" with the Gulf Coast Symphony on May 23 and May 24, 2015.

The Florida Orchestra performed "Gardens of Stone" with Jeff Tyzik conducting and Col. Gregory Graves, U.S. Army, narrating on May 22, May 23, and May 24, 2015.

On May 28, 2015 at 7:30, the Brigham Young-Idaho Symphony performed "The Glass Bead Game", conducted by Robert Tueller.

Charles Conrad and the Indiana Wind Symphony performed "Concerto for Trombone" with the composer as guest soloist, and "The American Dream" on their concert at the Palladium in Carmel IN on May 23, 2015 at 7:30.

The Indiana University Jacobs SoM Wind Ensemble played "The Glass Bead Game" with Jeff Nelsen as soloist on April 7, 2015.

Jeff Nelsen performed "The Glass Bead Game" on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Walton Arts Center with the University of Arkansas Wind Ensemble conducted by Chris Knighten.

On April 22, 2015 the University of Massachusetts Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Matthew Westgate, performed "The Glass Bead Game" with Dr. Joshua Michal as soloist.

The University of South Dakota Brass Choir performed "Musica Mobilis" on April 24, 2015.  Dr. Rolf Olson was conducting.

Caley Bowen was horn soloist for a performance of "The Glass Bead Game" on April 28, 2015 with the Texas Woman's University Wind Symphony, Russell Pettitt conducting.

Robert Pippin conducted "The Glass Bead Game" with select wind students from Peabody on April 12, 2015.  Jason Johnston was the horn soloist.

The brass choir version of "Music Mobilis" was played by the brass from the University of South Alabama Wind Ensemble on April 16 at Laidlaw PAC and on April 17 at Saenber Theater in Mobile.  William Petersen was conducting.

March, 2015

The Metropolitan Wind Symphony, Lewis Buckley conducting, performed "Concerto for Trombone" at the Scottish Rite National Heritage Museum and Library in Lexington, MA on March 1, 2015.  Mark Weaver was the soloist.

Dr. Chad Nicholson conducted the University of Delaware Wind Ensemble and soloist John David Smith in a performance of "The Glass Bead Game" on March 25, 2015 and will then took it to the Taiwan International Clinic in April.

The Carmel Symphony played "Make a Joyful Noise" on their March 14, 2015 concert with Dr. David Bowden conducting.

Mark Scatterday conducted the Eastman Wind Ensemble in a performance of "In the Mind's Eye" for horns and large ensemble on March 23, 2015. 

Jeff Nelsen performed "The Glass Bead Game" at the College Band Directors Association National Conference with the Indiana University Wind Ensemble in Nashville on March 26, 2015.

In March, 2015 the Indianapolis Symphony premiered "Concerto for Brass and Orchestra", with Krzysztof Urbanski conducting.  March 20 was at the Palladium in Carmel, IN; March 21 was at the Hilbert Circle Theater, Indianapolis, IN; and March 22 was in Avon, IN.

David Bowden led the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic in a performance of "Liberty for All" on March 28, 2015.

February, 2015

Peggy Moran, horn faculty at University of Central Oklahoma, gave a faculty recital on February 3, 2015, on which performed the chamber version of "The Glass Bead Game".

The University of South Carolina Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Scott Weiss, performed "The Glass Bead Game" with JD Shaw as soloist on February 14, 2015.

On February 22, 2015, Jared Rodin performed the first movement of my "Concerto for Trombone", with Mike Colburn conducting.

Aubrey Landsfeld played the chamber version of "The Glass Bead Game" on her recital on February 20, 2015 at Ithaca College.

The 399th Army Band combined with the bands of Missouri University of Science and Technology to perform "Concerto for Trombone" with three of the army trombonists on February 22, 2015 at 2:00.  Robert Cesario was conducting.

The Kalamazoo Symphony brass section performed the brass choir version of "A Christmas Fanfare" on December 20, 2014 with Raymond Harvey conducting.

Brett Mitchell conducted the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra in a performance of "A Christmas Fanfare" on December 9, 2014 at 7:30 in the Temple Theater.

The Roswell Symphony Orchestra, with John Farrer conducting, performed "A Christmas Fanfare" on December 7, 2014 at the Pearson Auditorium at 2:30 PM.

Mark Laycock led the Wichita Symphony in a performance of "A Christmas Fanfare" on December 9, 2014 at 7:30 in the Century II Hall. 

The Fort Wayne Philharmonic performed "A Christmas Fanfare" eight times between November 29 and December 21, 2014 on their holiday regional concerts.  Chia-Hsuan Lin was the conductor.

November, 2014

The Millikin University Wind Ensemble performed "The Glass Bead Game" on November 20, 2014 at 7:30 PM in Kirkland Fine Arts Center.  Gary Shaw was conducting and Stephen Schepper was the horn soloist.

The Reston Community Orchestra, under the direction of Dingwall Fleary, performed "Colorado Vistas" on November 16, 2014.

The University of Chicago Wind Ensemble performed the first movement of "The Glass Bead Game" on November 16, 2014 with Chip DeStefano conducting.  

On November 11, 2014, Stephen Pratt conducted the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Wind Ensemble in a performance of "Concerto for Trombone" with Carl Lenthe as soloist.  The performance was be in Auer Hall at 8:00.

Simon Tiillier will led the University of Minnesota, Morris, Symphonic Winds Band in a performance of "The Glass Bead Game", soloist Eric Vigessa, on November 15, 2014.

James Beckel played his own "Concerto for Trombone" with the DePauw University Orchestra, Orcenith Smith conductor, on November 24, 2014.

Rob Danforth performed "The Glass Bead Game" with the DePauw University Band on November 23, 2014, with Craig Pare conducting.

October, 2014

On October 2, 2014, the Pittsburg State University Wind Ensemble, with Dr. Craig Fuchs conducting, performed "Gardens of Stone".

The Bowling Green State University Concert Band, under the direction of Kenneth Thompson, performed "Concerto for Trombone", with soloist Bill Mathis, on October 3, 2014, 8:00, in Kobacker Hall in the Moore Musical Arts Building.

The Meridian (ID) Symphony performed "The American Dream" on October 24, 2014 with Jim Ogle conducting.

The first movement of "The Glass Bead Game" was performed by the Utah Valley University Wind Symphony, Dr. David Fullmer, conductor and Dr. Jeb Wallace, soloist.  The concert was on October 20, 2014 at 7:30.

April, 2014

The Gulf Coast Symphony, under the direction of John Strickler,  premiered "Concerto for Trombone" (orchestra version) on April 5, 2014 at 8:00.  Joseph Alessi was the soloist.

The Detroit Symphony Civic Winds premiered "Concerto for Trombone" (band version) on April 29 at 7:00 PM.  Dr. Kenneth Thompson was conducting and Bill Mathis, Professor at Bowling Green State University, was the soloist.

The Wichita State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Victor Markovich, performed the last movement of "In the Mind's Eye" on April 30, 2014 at 7:30 in Miller Concert Hall. 

March, 2014

The Lone Star Youth Winds performed the first movement of "The Glass Bead Game" on March 2, 2014 with Doug Stotter conducting.

Master's candidate Monica Hambrick performed the chamber version of "The Glass Bead Game" on her recital on March 23, 2014 at West Virginia University.

The Boston Conservatory Brass Ensemble performed "Musica Mobilis" on March 28, 2014 at the Fenway Center at 8:00.

On March 30, the Carnegie Mellon Wind Ensemble played "The Glass Bead Game" at 7:30 in Soldiers and Sailors Hall.  Carrie Vertin was the soloist and Stephen Story was the conductor.

The Seattle Pacific University Symphonic Wind Ensemble performed the first movement of "The Glass Bead Game" on May 17, 2013.  The conductor was Gerry Marsh.

On May 12, 2013, the St. Olaf Orchestra performed the first movement of "The Glass Bead Game" with student Ellan Krubsack as soloist.  Steven Amundson was the conductor.

The Vernon Hills High School Wind Ensemble performed the first movement of "The Glass Bead Game" on May 23.  The conductor was Randy Sundell.

The Ronen Chamber Ensemble premiered a new chamber work for Violin, Clarinet, Percussion, Double Bass, and Piano titled "Dialogues" on April 23, 2013. 

Krzysztof Urbanski conducted a performance of "In the Mind's Eye" with his orchestra in Trondheim in Norway on April 25, 2013.

The Indiana University Southeast Concert Band played "Make a Joyful Noise" on April 14, 2013, with Phil Thomas conducting.

On April 16, 2013, "The Glass Bead Game" was performed by the University of Alberta Wind Ensemble.  Dr. Dennis Prime was the conductor and the guest soloist was Jeff Nelsen, Professor of Horn at Indiana University.

The DePauw University Band performed "Music for Piano, Winds, and Percussion" and "Toccata Festiva" on April 28, 2013.

March, 2013

The Queensland Symphony Orchestra performed "In the Mind's Eye" on March 8, 2013.  Sarah-Grace Williams was conducting.

Lauren Winter, principal horn with the Springfield MA Symphony, will perform "The Glass Bead Game" with the Capital Region Wind Ensemble on March 13, 2016 at 3:00 at the Schenectady County Community College.

Susan McCullough will perform "The Glass Bead Game" on March 9, 2016 with the University of Denver Wind Ensemble, Joseph Martin conducting.

Toshiyuki Shimada will lead the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra in a performance of "Concerto for Brass and Orchestra" on March 19, 2016 at the Garde Arts Center at 8:00.

On October 23, Kent Leslie performed an all-Beckel horn recital which included "The Glass Bead Game", "Primitive Modern", and "In the Mind's Eye" (with the help of the rest of the Anderson Symphony horn section).

The Topeka Symphony played "Musica Mobilis" on November 1, 2008 with John Strickler conducting.

Neal Gittleman conducted the Dayton Philharmonic in performances of "Gardens of Stone" on two joint concerts with the US Air Force Band of Flight at the National air Force Museum in Fairborn, OH.  These concerts took place on November 7 & 8, 2008.

Dr. Eldon Matlick performed the first movement of "The Glass Bead Game" at a concert on November 24, 2008 with the University of Oklahoma Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. William Wakefield, Director of Bands.

The Campolindo Symphonic Band performed "Liberty for All" on November 20, 2008.  Harvey Benstein is the conductor.

"Portraits of the American West" was performed by Rob Danforth, Jeff Nelsen, Julie Beckel and students from Indiana University and DePauw University on a recital on October 2 at 7:30 on the DePauw campus.

Soo Han conducted the Carmel High School Orchestra in a performance of "Musica Mobilis" on October 21, 2008 at the Hilbert Circle Theater in Indianapolis.

Jeff Nelsen, horn soloist,  performed "The Glass Bead Game" with the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony on October 20, 2008.  Dr. Scott Stewart conducted.

Barry Jekowsky led the California Symphony in a performance of "Liberty for All" on September 20, 2008 at Todos Santos Plaza in Concord, CA.

Orcenith Smith conducted "The American Dream" with the DePauw University Orchestra on September 28, 2008.

July, 2008

The Missouri Symphony Orchestra performed "Liberty for All" on July 5, 2008, with Kirk Trevor conducting.

Dr. Robert Tomaro led the Beloit Janesville Symphony in two performances of "Liberty for All" on July 3 and July 4, 2008.

The Fort Worth Symphony played "Liberty for All" at three performances with Miguel Harth-Bedoya conducting.  The concerts were held in the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens and were on July 2, 3, and 4, 2008. 

"Gardens of Stone" was played by the Duluth Superior Symphony (MN) on July 4 and July 5, 2008 with Markand Thakar conducting.

Daniel Hege conducted the Syracuse Symphony in multiple performances of "Gardens of Stone" in July, 2008.

The Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra performed "Liberty for All" on July 4, 2008 in Centennial Park.  Jere Flint was conducting.

Brass members from the Vallejo Symphony performed "Musica Mobilis" for brass choir on July 4, 2008.  The conductor was David Ramadanoff.

June, 2008

The Fairfax Symphony Orchestra performed "Liberty for All" on their final concert of the season, June 14, 2008, as part of their International Heritage Series.  This was William Hudson's last concert as Music Director of Fairfax Symphony.

Maestro Tsung Yeh led the South Bend Symphony in a performance of "Liberty for All" at their Blast! concert on June 28, 2008 in the St. Patrick's Count Park at 8:00 PM.

On May 10, 2008, Maestro Joel Levine conducted the Oklahoma City Philharmonic in a performance of "Toccata for Orchestra".

"The Glass Bead Game" was played by Larry Williams and the Loudoun Symphony on March 8 at Dominion High School and March 9, 2008 at the Loudoun County High School.  Mark Allen McCoy was conducting.

The brass choir at the Boston Conservatory performed "Musica Mobilis" on March 8, 2008.

The DePauw University Band performed "Music for Winds, Piano, and Percussion" on March 9, 2008, under the direction of Craig Pare.  They have included this work on their most recent CD.

The "Sonata for Trumpet and Organ" was performed by Dr. Heather Hinton and Daniel Golando on February 17, 2008 at the Pipedreams Live! concert at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.

The Cedar Rapids Symphony, under the direction of Tim Hankewich, played "Waltz of the Animals" for two Discovery concerts on November 3, 2007."

On November 11, 2007, the Oakland Youth Orchestra performed the brass choir version of "Musica Mobilis" under the direction of Brian Nies.

Musical Masque (for the Seasons)" is a chamber work inspired by the James Whitcomb Riley poem entitled Masque of the Seasons.  The Peaceful Valley Chamber Players performed it on Sunday, November 18, in the atrium of the Indiana University Art Museum to honor the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Brown County Art Colony by T.C. Steele in 1907.

October, 2007

The Virginia Symphony played "Toccata for Orchestra" on a concert featuring Joshua Bell on October 4, 2007, with Maestro JoAnn Falletta conducting.

Maestro Thomas Wilkins led the Omaha Symphony in a performance of "Toccata for Orchestra" on October 5 and 6, 2007.

Wayne Feller conducted the Star of the North Concert Band in a performance of the first movement of "The Glass Bead Game" at the Edinborough Indoor Park in Edina, MN on October 21, 2007 at 7:00 PM and performed it again in mid-November.  The guest soloist was Rob Schmitke.

May, 2007

The Broward Youth Chamber Orchestra in Ft. Lauderdale performed "The Glass Bead Game" on May 20, 2007 in the Dillard Center for the Arts Concert Hall and the soloist was the winner of the Concerto Competition, Jaclyn Perez.  The conductor was Bradford Chase.

On May 31, 2007 at 7:00 PM, the Citrus Wind Symphony in Riverside County, CA performed the band version of "Liberty for All" on their patriotic concert titled Let Freedom Ring.  The concert, conducted by Stephen Razo, was at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center.

The World Premier of "Toccata for Orchestra" was played on a Classical Subscription pair by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra on March 16 and March 17, 2007.  Maestro Mario Venzago conducted this premier and the audience was very enthusiastic.

On March 18, 2007, the Peaceful Valley Chamber Players performed the World Premier of "Musical Masque (for the Seasons)" at the Nashville United Methodist Church in Nashville, IN as part of Nashville's Centennial Celebration.  This piece is interspersed with one of James Whitcomb Riley's poems, "A Masque of the Seasons."

Jeff Nelsen, horn soloist, performed the band version of "The Glass Bead Game" with the University of Ottawa Wind Ensemble in Tabaret Hall on April 10, 2006 in a concert conducted by Daniel Gress.

On April 5, 2006, Pat Boone narrated a performance of "Liberty for All" with the Pepperdine University Orchestra in Malibu, CA with Tony Cason conducting.

The Greensburg Junior High School 8th Grade Band of 2006 premiered a piece commissioned by their band director, Nick Parcell, entitled "American Journey".  It was performed for the first time at contest, where they won a first place, on April 1, 2006 .

February, 2006

"Primitive Modern" was performed by horn soloist Brian Kilp on February 19, 2006 at Indiana State University and again at the 2006 Midwest Horn Workshop of the International Horn Society in Stevens Point, WI on February 25, 2006.

The Percussion Plus Project gave two performances of "Concerto for Tuba and Percussion", one at the Chicago Cultural Center on February 26, 2006 and one at DePauw University on February 28, 2006.  Velvet Brown was the tuba soloist.

In concerts at the 24th Annual Concert Band Festival on February 27 and February 28, 2006, Jeff Nelsen played the horn concerto, "The Glass Bead Game" with the University of Montana Band, Steve Bolstad conducting.

Orcenith Smith led the Indianapolis Philharmonic on June 9, 2005 when they performed "Waltz of the Animals", a narrated children's piece.

April, 2005

String Quartet No. 1 was commissioned and premiered by the New Century Quartet on April 4, 2005 at the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center on the campus of the University of Indianapolis, where Jim Beckel is Professor of Trombone.

"Fantasy after Schubert" was featured on 18 Discovery Educational Concerts with the Indianapolis Symphony between April 13 and May 13, 2005.  Neal Gittleman was the conductor for these concerts and Linda Noble was the administrator in charge of planning the concerts and distributing workshop materials to the schools for "pre-educating" the students who attended the concerts.

The band version of "Make a Joyful Noise" was performed by the Indiana Wind Symphony with Charles Conrad conducting on April 17, 2005.

"Primitive Modern", a work for horn and recorded sounds, was played by Kent Leslie.  He was a guest on a Faculty Chamber Music Recital at DePauw University on April 18, 2005.

Fall and Winter, 2004

The Orlando Philharmonic performed "The American Dream" three times in October of 2004, with Andrew Lane conducting.

"Fantasy after Schubert" was premiered by the Indianapolis Symphony as part of their 75th season celebration for the opening concerts on September 18 and 19, 2004.

"Liberty for All" was performed by the Roswell Symphony Orchestra on September 6, 2004 and was conducted by John Farrer and narrated by Senator Rod Adair.

Thomas Joiner conducted the Hendersonville Symphony in "Liberty for All" on September 2, 2004.  The narrator was Chuck Rowell for this concert.

Kent Leslie, an Indianapolis free-lance horn player,  performed "Primitive Modern" on one of the concerts for the 38th Contemporary Music Festival on November 12, 2004.

"Waltz of the Animals" was performed by the NOVA Manassas Symphony Orchestra in Manassas, VA on 12/4/04 under the direction of James Villani.

Orcenith Smith conducted the Indianapolis Philharmonic in a performance of "Waltz of the Animals" in the Fall of 2004.  Jim Beckel was the narrator.

The University of Indianapolis Band performed "The American Dream" on its "Salute to Veterans" concert November 11, 2004 with Thomas McCauley conducting.

Eldon Matlick performed the chamber version of "The Glass Bead Game" at the Doc Rando Recital Hall in the Beam Music Center, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, on October 28, 2004 as part of the Western U.S. Horn Symposium.

Spring, 2004

The DePauw University Wind Ensemble performed "Make a Joyful Noise" twice under the direction of Craig Pare.

Trombone soloists Joe Burnam and Fabio Sampo performed "Lament for Two Trombones" in May of 2004 at the Istitutio Civico Musicale and Piemonte IN Music.

Nancy Joy, horn soloist, performed "The Glass Bead Game" with the Mesilla Valley Concert Band in the Spring of 2004.

Also performing "The Glass Bead Game" was horn soloist Andrew Vercruysse.  He played the piece with the Augustana College Band on 5/13/04.

Hornist Kent Leslie performed "Primitive Modern" twice at Ball State University on 2/6/04, and at Butler University on 3/6/04.  He also played "The Glass Bead Game" on 4/15/04 at Indiana State University.

December, 2003

"A Christmas Fanfare" was performed by the Orlando Philharmonic, Andrew Lane conducting and by The Greater Lansing Symphony, Matthew Savery conducting.

October, 2003

On October 23, "Primitive Modern" was performed by Kent Leslie at the University of Oklahoma.

There were two performances of "The Waltz of the Animals" with the St. Joseph Symphony on October 16, 2003, Debbie Friedman conducting.

September, 2003

A special September 11 concert by the Orlando Philharmonic featured "Liberty for All", with Andy Lane conducting.

The Amarillo Symphony performed "Liberty for All" for their Labor Day concert.  The conductor was Jim Setapen.

A premiere of a new work for horn entitled "Primitive Modern" took place on September 8 at the Gala Opening concert for the University of Indianapolis.  Kent Leslie and Paul Berns were the soloists, with technical assistance provided by Pete Schmutte.

July, 2003

A very special July 4 performance by the Nashville Symphony was broadcast on national television by the A&E network.   The orchestra, with Byung-Hyun Rhee, Conductor, and Barry Scott, Narrator gave a very stirring performance of "Liberty for All" .  Kenneth Schermerhorn, Music Director of the Nashville Symphony, performed "The American Dream" during the fireworks presentation.

Greg Hustis, principal horn of the Dallas Symphony, performed "The Glass Bead Game" at the 'Music in the Mountains' festival in Durango, Colorado on July 22, 2003.

June, 2003

At the Women's International Brass Conference at Illinois State University, Velvet Brown performed "Concerto for Tuba and Percussion" with the Percussion Plus Ensemble on June 20, 2003.

Rob Danforth, principal horn with the Indianapolis Symphony, performed "The Glass Bead Game", at the 35th International Horn Symposium at Indiana University on June 5, 2003.

February, 2003

David Stahl conducted the Charleston Symphony in a performance of "Liberty for All".

The premiere of a new work entitled "Concerto for Tuba and Percussion" occurred on February 18 at DePauw University and February 19 at the Historical Society in Indianapolis.  The performing ensemble was Percussion Plus; Dean Amy Lynn Barber, director, and their guest artist was the renowned tuba soloist, Velvet Brown.

The Air Force Band took the band version of "Liberty for All" on tour during February.

January, 2003

The Baltimore Symphony, conducted by Lara Webber, performed "Liberty for All" for a special memorial concert for Martin Luther King on January 11.  With permission from the Martin Luther King foundation, the Baltimore Symphony was able to use text from Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech. for this special performance.

The DePauw University Orchestra, with Orcenith Smith conducting, took "Make a Joyful Noise" on their European tour in January.  All performances took place in Italy in Bagnoregio (1/15), Rome (1/11), and Cremona (1/16).

"Make a Joyful Noise" was performed by the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra on October 16, Anne Harrigan conducting.

Stephen Peterson and the Ithaca College Band performed "The Glass Bead Game" on October 15.  The soloist was Alex Shuhan.

September, 2002

Joyce Johnson-Hamilton conducted the Diablo Symphony in a performance of "Overture for a New Age" on September 22.

The Middletown Symphony performed "Liberty for All" on September 2.  Carmen DeLone was the conductor.

"Liberty for All" was performed by the Champaign-Urbana Symphony, Steven Larsen conducting, on September 1.

The orchestral version of "The Glass Bead Game" was performed by soloist, Rob Danforth, Principal Horn of the Indianapolis Symphony.  The conductor for this concert was David Alan Miller.  The concert was scheduled on May 23 at 7:30 at Clowes Memorial Hall on the Butler campus.

"The Glass Bead Game" was performed by soloist Tom Leech, Horn Professor at Allegheny College, Meadville, PA, with the Allegheny College Wind Ensemble.

April, 2002

The University of Evansville Wind Ensemble conducted by Timothy Zifer, performed "The Glass Bead Game" on April 9, 2002 with Kristina Crago, horn soloist.

Rob Danforth, Principal Horn with the Indianapolis Symphony performed "The Glass Bead Game" with piano accompaniment, on April 22, 2002 at DePauw University.   Sylvia Scott was the pianist.
